[HOWTO][GUIDE] Rooting the One ME (m9ew / htc_hima_ace_ml_dtul)

Hello All,

First of All before beginning with anything,
I OR ANY ONE THAT I HAVE MENTIONED IN THIS TRHEAD ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DEVICE BRICKING DURING THIS GUIDE, YOU ARE DOING THIS ON YOU OWN WISH AND MUST HOLD THE WHOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF YOUR ACTIONS
I AM NOT A DEVLEOPER AND DO NOT HAVE THE TIME TO BE A ONE ( although i would love to be one ;) )
AND HENCE I CANNOT ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS UNLESS I KNOW ITS ANSWERS

FOR THE TIME BEING THERE IS NO CERTAIN METHOD TO GET OTAs BACK
SO IF YOU CANNOT GO THE S-OFF WAY AND HAVE WARRANTY ISSUES, AFRAID OF BRICKING , ETC
THEN ROOTING CAN COST YOU TO LOOSE OTA FOR A GOOD TIME

My region ( 708 ) still donot have the stock recovery released and hence i couldn't test

Second , This guide is just a collection of others people work and assistance so the effort is not really mine
I would like to thanks @tbalden and @karlanal as without them i wouldn't be able to root my device

Let the Fun begins and let's know what you need first :

1- Working Adb and fastboot in your pc ( from this thread >> http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2588979 )
2- HTC drivers ( There is one in the sync manager drive in "My computer" when you insert the usb cable )
This one worked for me just fine but if it didn't, you should download the whole htc sync manager which contains all the needed drivers ( as said by other users through searching in the web generally )
3- CMD >> Working command prompt in your windows
4- SuperSu Zip file which will be flashed through TWRP >>>> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5D...ew?usp=sharing
5- TWRP for Our One ME >>>> https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B5D...ew?usp=sharing
6- Ofcourse a working Usb cable :D

STEPS to ROOT starting from Locked Bootloader device :
SAME as the following thread exactly except replacing the TWRP with our own which is already above at the 5th point
MUST READ ALL THE HINTS AND TIPS IN THE INTIAL TOPIC OF THE THREAD AS WE ARE AFFECTED SAME AS THEY ARE

STEPS to get back to Stock so we can get OTA :
First method : Same as the One for M9+ >>> ALTHOUGH SEEMS NOT TO WORK BECAUSE WHEN WE INTITALLY FLASH TWRP IT MOUNTS THE SYSTEM AS RW WHICH BREAKS A CERTAIN CODE ( SHA1 )THAT OTA CHECKS FOR IT BEOFRE FLASHING THE OTA
1- Flash Stock recovery of your region AND your current firmware >>> From this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/one-...t3211628/page1 )
2- Restore UNTOUCHED system Partition ( That you intially take a Backup for it just after flashing TWRP )

Second method : which will include S-OFF and flashing a whole diffrent Firwmare
( This was mention by Karlanal and i didn't test it yet )
1- S-OFF via sunshine app ( have to pay ant not free )
2-Make supercid via fastboot command
3-After that you can install one of those two firmwares in the RUU thread that we currently have (either asia india or china)
For the Post of this procedure from Karlanal ( I believe he wouldn't mind that i am sharing this )
I REPEAT, HE DOESNOT HOLD ANY RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY FLASHING ISSUES
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...6&postcount=32

Hope you all have the best rooted device and happy flashing :D:D
